HoldShot™ has 3 functional components:

1. Transponder Channel

Installation Guide

Total time: ~10 seconds

1. Insert the Transponder

1. Position the transponder so the printed number faces the handlebars.
2. Slide the MyLaps ProChip Flex into the HoldShot™ channel.
3. Push until it locks into the holding channels.

2. Position on the Fork

1. Hold HoldShot™ against the fork leg.
2. Typically close to the wheel hub.

3. Wrap the Strap

1. Wrap the integrated strap around the back of the fork.
2. Feed the strap tail into the SqueezeLoc™ head.
3. Push – you’ll feel a satisfying “click”.
4. Pull strap to tighten

Ready to race.

Removing or Swapping Between Bikes

1. Squeeze both sides of the SqueezeLoc™ head.
2. Slide the strap tail out.
3. Remove the holder from the fork.
4. Install on the next bike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will HoldShot™ scratch my forks?

No. It’s printed in soft, flexible TPU which is far gentler than cable ties — just ensure dirt isn’t trapped underneath.

Does it work with all forks?

Works with most BMX race forks. A larger strap will be available for oversized forks.

Is it legal for racing?

Yes, as long as it positions your ProChip Flex correctly. Check with your timing provider if your track has specific placement rules.

Can I use other transponders?

Not this model — HoldShot™ is built specifically for the MyLaps ProChip Flex.

Does it stay on during racing?
